TCCLS Parents and Students Guidelines

All students should be in the classroom by 2:00 p.m.
Teachers will take attendance on each school day. Students who arrive later than 2:10 p.m. or leave earlier than 3:15 p.m. without parents' consent will be marked as "late". Students who attend all classes and have no more than two "late" counts will be honored with a perfect attendance award at the end of the school year. (Eligible students will be in drawing box of 10 $5.00 Barns & Noble gift cards)

All students must follow the rules and instructions of teachers.
If a student is disruptive in class, a warning will be given. After two warnings, the principal will have a meeting with the parents. If the students' behavior is not improved, a school meeting will decide to suspend or expel the student.

The school makes arrangement to borrow classrooms and facilities from Tri-Cities Chinese Alliance Church (TCCAC).
All members of the school should exercise all their efforts to keep the borrowed classrooms and facilities in a clean and neat condition. Parents and students are responsible for damages on the church property.
There are recess times parents assigned as "Parents on Duty" every school day.
Please mark "parents' on-duty day" on calendar. Parents will not be required to be on duty more than once in one semester. Vice principal will remind parents a few days before assigned duty day. Parents on duty are expected to do the following:
  • Bring snacks & water to the designated area.
  • Watch and check students' safety both in the hallway and on the playground during recess times.
  • Help leading students to their classrooms.
  • K1&K2&G1 classes: 1st section: 2:00-2:35;  2nd section: 2:45-3:20; 3rd section: 3:30-4:00.

  • G2 above classes: 1st section: 2:00-2:50; 2nd section: 3:10-4:00.

  • Help to clean up classrooms at the end of classes: erase writing on blackboards, empty trash bins, arrange desks and chairs, etc.

Tri-Cities Chinese Language School (TCCLS) is operated and administered by devoted parents and teachers. We appreciate all families' dedication and cooperation in making TCCLS a fun learning place.
