TCCLS Parent and Student Guidelines
All students should be in the classroom by 2:00 p.m.
Teachers will take attendance on each school day. Students who arrive later than 2:10 p.m. or leave earlier than 3:15 p.m. without parents' consent will be marked as "late". Students who attend all classes and have no more than two "late" counts will be honored with a perfect attendance award at the end of the school year. (Eligible students will be in drawing box of 5 $10.00 Barns & Noble certificates)
All students must follow the rules and instructions of the teachers.
If a student is disruptive in class, a warning will be given. After two warnings, the principal will have a meeting with the parents. If the students' behavior is not improved, a school meeting will decide suspend or expel the student.
The school makes delicate arrangement to borrow the facilities from Tri-Cities Chinese Alliance Church (TCCAC).
All the members of the school should exercise all their efforts to keep the borrowed classroom and facility in a clean and neat condition. Parents and students are responsible for any damage on the church property.
There are two parents assigned as Parents on Duty every school day.
Please mark your on-duty day on your calendar. No parent will be required to be on duty more than twice during the school year. Vice principal will call the parents a few days before the duty day. Parents on Duty are expected to do the following:
Bring water to designated area.
At the end of the day: help stuff members to clean up the classroom, erase blackboard, remove trash, tidy up desks and chairs, etc.
Watch for student safety both in the hallway and on the playground during intermission. Help bringing students to classrooms.
1st period 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
2nd period 3:05 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.
Our school is operated and administered by volunteering parents and teachers. We appreciate your dedication and cooperation in making Tri-Cities Chinese Language School a better learning place.
